Adios to the Cap Center

One Last Show at the Old Arena - I saw a note about this earlier in the Post but didn’t comment on it because I wanted to try and dredge up all the events I saw there while in high school. So here are the ones I’ve come up with:

• A few Bullets games
• A few Capitals games, including a playoff game with the Islanders in 1987(?) driving to which I got a ticket for reckless driving
• A few arena football games (I don't even remember the name of the team)
• Yes (plus waiting for tickets the morning they were issued by fibbing to my folks that I was helping someone deliver the AM newspaper)
• Boston
• Peter Gabriel
• Lynyrd Skynyrd (cause some friends were going, notable for the guy who got struck by lightning in the parking lot)
• Billy Joel </ul>

  I'm sure there are more, but it's been a while. Obviously I wasn't a rebelious kid in terms of musical tastes :-)
